I think of it more as lancing a boil, but I understand your sentiment. Caterpillars turn into butterflies, but maggots turn into fat greasy flies.

A friend sent me the link to your blog; he is a good friend, and I am happy to say that he did not disappoint me at all.
You mirror much of what I've said on my blog, although I do not keep at it as I should. FWIW I, too, am a veteran like your son, having served my war years in Vietnam. The liberals are even worse now than they were then; and back then I thought them treasonous. That word gets used too often, I know, but what else can one say about people who consciously, knowingly, and willingly give aid and comfort to our enemies by their words and actions here at home? The main-stream media (or 'drive-by media' if you will) are willing partners with the terrorists to the point where the terrorists are now quoting them about the reasons they do what they do. That wasn't what those terrorists were saying at the beginning. Our press is giving them propaganda weapons to use against us and our troops. FCurthermore, the press has been giving the terrorists the very tactics that the President is using against them, allowing the terrorists to slip through our fingers.
I think it well past time that these people in this country who are doing those things should be held accountable for what they are doing; for what they are doing to the moral of the American people and for what they are doing to the moral of our troops; but more so for the aid and comfort that they afford the enemy in time of war. By encouraging the terrorists they are prolonging the war(s) and causing the deaths of more of our troops than what would have died otherwise. I know this was true in Vietnam, the North Vietnamese generals have explicitly said so. One of them, General Giap, who was the top general in 1968, said that they were ready to sue for peace on our terms in 1968, after the failed Tet Offensive; except that the KGB told Ho Chi Minh that the anti-war movement in America would ultimately defeat the Americans and to 'stay the course' while they manipulated those anti-war protest groups (especially the so-called "Vietnam Veterans Against the War" that John Kerry became a key player in. How many Americans died after the Tet Offensive of February 1968? More than half of the total for sure!
The penalty for Treason is death! I say, like you, kill them all; but especially the traitors who are responsible for killing our troops!
May God bless your son and bring him home to you safe, after a job well done!
This old Marine gives you a hearty "Semper Fi!"

Well thank you sir. The sad thing is that there are only two ways to turn a society around. Either through some "great awakening" -- as we have had several times in this nation -- or through some great and grave cataclysm. The first comes only by the will of God, and rarely. Apparently there is a shortage of Jonahs, or there are too many Ninevehs. As for the second, there are plenty of catastrophes. They seem not to have caught our attention in a meaningful way, as of yet. It is possible that we will, under the rule of law, find the will to hold traitors accountable. It's possible. But that isn't the direction our history is taking us. We shall see.

I could not agree more. I honestly believe this war will not end until one of the combatants, either all of islam or the culture of the west lie in ruins, utterly destroyed. Islam will accept nothing less. With all the bleeding hearts in this country, they already seem to have an advantage.
